James Slater was the graphic design and production manager for Z!NK Magazine (styled Z!NK), the independent American fashion, art and lifestyle publication founded in spring 2002 by Sheriff Ishak and headquartered in New York. Z!NK was known for avant-garde fashion, celebrity portraits, beauty, art and culture, with cover stars including Charlize Theron, Heidi Klum, Jessica Alba, Shakira, Tyra Banks and Karlie Kloss. Former Essence editor-in-chief Constance C.R. White later led its print and digital revival.
