Folz Vending · Past Client
James Slater was the graphic designer for the machine displays of Folz Vending, the largest bulk vending machine company in the United States, founded in 1949 in Oceanside, New York by brothers Harold J. and Roger C. Folz. At its peak Folz operated roughly 150,000 to 205,000 gumball, candy, toy and sticker machines across the U.S. and Canada, placed in retailers such as Wal-Mart, Kmart, Toys “R” Us, Safeway, A&P and Grand Union, with products ranging from gumballs and pistachios to capsule toys, sports cards and branded novelties like Pokémon, NFL and Spice Girls. The company was sold in 2003 and had closed by 2007.
